Fluorescent Agent-5 - Introduction
1,6,7, 4,9, 10-tetrakarboxylic dianhydride (abbreviated TMTQ) is an organic compound. The following is an introduction to the nature, use, formulation and safety information of TMTQ:
Nature:
TMTQ is a solid with a white crystalline appearance. Its molecular formula is C30H36O6 and its molecular weight is 492.60g/mol. TMTQ has low solubility and can be dissolved in common organic solvents.
Use:
TMTQ is mainly used as an additive for polymer materials. It can form a cross-linked structure by reacting with the polymer to improve the mechanical properties and thermal stability of the polymer. TMTQ can also be used in the fields of coatings, sealing materials, electronic materials, etc.
Method:
The synthesis of TMTQ can be obtained by a multi-step organic synthesis method. A common preparation method is through acid-catalyzed phenol formylation reaction, first in the reaction of tetra-tert-butylphenol with sulfur trioxide to obtain the corresponding anhydride intermediate, and then through further acylation reaction to obtain TMTQ product.
Safety Information:
The toxicity and danger of TMTQ are relatively low, but it is still necessary to pay attention to safe use. When handling and contacting TMTQ, inhalation of aerosol should be avoided and direct contact with skin or eyes should be avoided. Wear appropriate protective gloves, glasses and protective clothing during use. If in contact with eyes or skin, rinse immediately with water and seek medical advice. During storage, TMTQ should be kept in a sealed container to avoid contact with open flames and oxidants.
It should be noted that the above information is for reference only. Please refer to the relevant safety data sheet and Operation guide before using or operating TMTQ, follow appropriate laboratory safety practices.
